Book Review - Business Thinking for Designers

The overall feeling of this book is 'Collocetion of advice from various resourcs'. This is a good way to find stuff to listen and read, but, but lacks the voice gained by of decades of hard-earned lessons. The collection of references is a useful, and this is not a bad summary of things to consider when growing into design leader role. And as a primer this book works. But to take design leadership seriously, it's better to read the various specialty books from different topics, not the summarizations.

For the devops and culture of design critique parts, consider reading discussing design and org design for design orgs instead.

I listened this on audio format and it was a mistake. In audio format the handbook sounds shallow and just a as a collection of truisms. Read this in pdf format, and click all the links.
